Patients at our Dallas practice can now choose JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC to treat deep "smile lines" that frame the mouth and nasolabial folds. Clinical trials showed the results of this minimally invasive treatment can last up to 18 months. Before the FDA approved VOLLURE, treatment for nasolabial folds and other moderate or severe wrinkles typically lasted only a year.

Dr. Stetler is a national trainer for Allergan, the company that makes VOLLURE, and she trains other physicians on how to properly inject the new product. Both Dr. Stetler and Dr. Polder are on Allergan's national advisory board as well.

VOLLURE balances the gel's firmness and its low cohesiveness, making it an ideal choice for restoring volume in the nasolabial folds and other deeper wrinkles. Even though other hyaluronic acid fillers can treat these concerns, VOLLURE is the first approved by the FDA that lasts up to 18 months. That's the longest-lasting result shown in a clinical study for treating nasolabial folds. The VYCROSS® technology developed by Allergan, which makes JUVÉDERM products, is used in VOLLURE, VOLUMA® and VOLBELLA®. Each is tailored to add volume to specific areas of the face with long-lasting results.

Is VOLLURE Right for Me?

Just about any patient who is concerned about deep wrinkles or folds can benefit from VOLLURE injections. Other fillers have addressed nasolabial folds and smile lines around the mouth, but VOLLURE's long-lasting results make it an extremely attractive option.

Your Treatment

We ask that you arrive a half-hour before your scheduled appointment time so a member of our staff can apply a topical numbing agent to the treatment area. This helps minimize discomfort during the injections. Additionally, JUVÉDERM VOLLURE is pre-mixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which also makes the procedure more comfortable.

Injectable appointments typically take about 30 minutes, although it varies depending on if you are having more than 1 area treated. Our dermatologists create a customized treatment plan after listening to your concerns and cosmetic goals. A comprehensive approach to facial aging may combine multiple fillers to address different areas of the face.

You may want to include other dermal fillers, such as VOLBELLA to restore fullness to thinning lips and VOLUMA to create a "lifted" appearance for your cheeks, or BOTOX® Cosmetic injections. We use our expertise and experience to tailor the treatments to the needs of each patient.

If you would like to learn more about any of the dermal fillers we offer, please read through our Dermal Fillers FAQ for answers to common questions.
