Turning up the Heat with Thermage for Smoother Skin

Patient undergoing thermage treatment

Lifestyle blogger Tanya Foster (tanyafoster.com) shares her experience undergoing a Thermage® treatment, as she continues toward her goal of healthy, younger-looking skin. Dr. Lori Stetler recommended the skin-tightening procedure as a follow up to Tanya’s successful Kybella treatment.

“Dr. Stetler has been my dermatologist for over 20 years and I only trust a doctor to do any of these medical treatments. She is up on all the latest technology and dermatology medical update,s since she travels to several seminars each year. By the way, I always ask her what she is doing to keep her skin in tip-top shape and she tells me. Thermage is one of them.”

During Thermage, radio-frequency energy is delivered to large areas of the skin in order to achieve skin contraction and tissue tightening. The superficial skin layers are cooled while heat is safely delivered to the collagen fibers deeper in the skin. This results in collagen contraction and ultimately the production of new collagen. Published studies conducted by Thermage show measurable tightening, which gradually occurs over a 4 to 6 month period. However, many patients report seeing an earlier response.

Dr. Stetler’s personalized skin rejuvenation plan for Tanya began with Teoxane RHA Serum, Colorescience Sunforgettable bronzer and Revision Skincare’s Nectifirm, followed by a Clear+Brilliant session, IPL and Versapulse laser therapy, and most recently a Kybella treatment. More non-invasive treatments are planned over the coming months, so stay tuned …
