I’ve been a patient of Dr. Stetler’s office for 8 years, so when I decided to remove a tattoo from my ankle I knew where to turn. Working with Jennifer has been such a great experience and she immediately put me at ease and explained the procedure. I’ve had 6 sessions now and the tattoo has faded substantially.Read more patient reviews
We are born with beautiful flawless skin. But as we age, our skin begins to show the effects of sun damage in the form of freckles, brown spots, and other types of skin discoloration. Treatment with the VersaPulse® laser can fade pigmented lesions, improve the look of veins, and even be used for laser tattoo removal at our Dallas, Texas, practice.
Find out if VersaPulse can give you clearer skin by requesting a consultation online or calling (214) 631-7546 to make an appointment. When you schedule a consultation for cosmetic procedures, you will also receive a customized “Total Skin Rejuvenation” plan to help you achieve your ideal look.
About Laser Pigment & Tattoo Removal
The VersaPulse laser is a red light laser which is absorbed by the pigment-containing cells in brown skin lesions. This laser is extremely versatile because it also treats all tattoo pigments. While other lasers can treat some of the pigments in tattoos, VersaPulse is one of the only lasers that can treat any and all colors within a tattoo. The laser works by breaking the pigment into smaller particles so that it can be absorbed and cleared away by the body’s own immune system.
Immediately after treatment, there is a very superficial wound that takes approximately 5 to 7 days to heal. Very light colored lesions may be completely removed with only 1 laser session while darker spots may require 3 to 5. Treatments are typically spaced at 4 to 6 week intervals for best results.
What It Treats
VersaPulse is appropriate for most pigmented lesions, such as freckles, brown spots, birthmarks and age spots. This laser can also be used for spider veins, broken capillaries and is frequently used in Dallas for tattoo removal. So whether your skin damage was man-made or caused by the environment or genetics, the VersaPulse laser may be the cure.
Other forms of laser skin resurfacing or chemical peels can be used to soften wrinkles and improve skin texture and quality. During your consultation, one of our medical professionals will determine the best approach to treatment based on your skin characteristics.
