‘My Eyes Look Tired and Old”: Wake Eyes Up With BOTOX® & Dermal Fillers for Under Eyes

Woman in Dallas, TX considering her eye rejuvenation options to look her best during video calls

COVID-19 has changed many things about our lives, and work and school are no exceptions. Meetings and classes now take place over Zoom (or other video conferencing platforms), forcing us to squint at a computer screen for hours. “Zoom fatigue” can begin to set in, and you may begin to notice some unwanted details in your camera reflection—like new wrinkles or dark circles under your eyes that make you look tired and old.

A “Zoom boom” of rejuvenation treatments has recently popped up as more people want to look their best during video calls. In particular, BOTOX® and dermal fillers help our Dallas patients instantly feel more confident on camera. Here are 3 areas that rejuvenate your face and keep you feeling camera-ready:

1. Dark Circles

Sometimes all the coffee in the world isn’t enough to wake up tired eyes. Dark circles are caused by “hollows” underneath the eyes that form due to dehydration, lack of sleep, or genetics. Dermal fillers correct dark circles by plumping the hollowed areas, making them level with the surrounding skin. The under-eye area becomes even and the hollows no longer cast shadows. This brightening effect can be enjoyed for months, and simple touch-up treatments maintain your look.

Our patient shown below had circles under his eyes from the hollowed tear troughs. We injected Restylane® dermal filler in the tear troughs to lighten the area.Man with dark circles under his eyes before BOTOX treatment, and lightened, smoother skin under his eyes after dermal filler injections.

2. Crow’s Feet

The skin around the eyes is very thin, delicate, and easily susceptible to damage. Because of this, crow’s feet are often one of the first signs of aging, collecting around the outer corners of the eyes as you squint. These types of lines are known as “dynamic wrinkles”—wrinkles formed from repetitive muscle contractions. BOTOX treats this problem by temporarily relaxing overactive muscles, allowing the skin to smooth out.

Below you can see one of our patients who wanted BOTOX treatment around her eyes to soften her wrinkles. On the left, you see her before picture, and on the right, you can see how beautifully BOTOX smoothed the lines and creases around her eyes. 3. Frown Lines

Much like crow’s feet, frown lines are formed by repeated muscle contractions. These vertical lines create an “11” shape between the eyebrows and make you look grumpy or tired. BOTOX fixes these lines the same way it addresses crow’s feet—by strategically relaxing muscles in your face. Our skilled injectors help you reduce these lines without taking away your ability to make expressions, allowing you to look like a well-rested version of yourself. The before-and-after pictures below demonstrate how well BOTOX smooths the 11s between the eyebrows, even when you’re actively trying to frown.

Zoom fatigue is real and takes a toll on both your physical and mental health. Luckily, a little help from BOTOX and fillers help you face your next call with bright eyes and a renewed sense of confidence. Browse our before-and-after gallery to see the results our patients enjoy.
